He was born on Nov. 26, 1980, in Atlantic City, NJ, to Rogers and Colleen (Duggan) LeGrande.
He graduated from Butler High School.
Mikal had been a HASMAT technician with Service Masters.
He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Charlotte.
Mikal was a most dedicated father, loving son, a man of character, a loyal friend who gave to everyone and anyone in his path. Our hearts will always bleed for his memory. He will not be forgotten.
He is survived by his loving children, Mikayla Nicole LeGrande, 13; Myia LeeAnn LeGrande, 11; Robert Lee LeGrande, 9; Makenzie Ann LeGrande, 7; and Mikah Mykel LeGrande, 4, all of Charlotte; his parents, Rogers and Colleen, Charlotte; his maternal grandfather, William James Duggan, Absecon, NJ; several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews; and a special friend who God chose to bring into his life seven months ago, Kamesha Bridges, Charlotte.
His family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, from 6pm-8pm at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 8451 Idlewild Road, Charlotte, NC. Reverend Patrick T. Hoare will be the celebrant.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents.
