Of Jackson, passed away November 20, 2011 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick in 1975 and a daughter, Nancy in 1949. Ida is survived by; a daughter, Barbara Zoeller of Jackson; sons, Roger A. Bell (Barbara) of Lincoln, MA and Stephen F. Bell (Phoebe) of Reston, VA; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; a sister, Dorothy Bell of Ann Arbor. She retired from the American Red Cross in 1985, where she was Director of Blood Services for Jackson County Chapter for 25 years. Ida was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson, The Women’s Club of Jackson, the American Business Woman’s Assn. of Oaks and Acorn Chapters, and an active volunteer member of RSVP and the Red Cross. At her request, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church (201 S. Jackson St., Jackson, MI) with The Rev. Gretchen Sanewsky. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
