Passed away on January 6, 2012, in Spokane, WA due to heart failure. Bill was born on May 16, 1929, to Fred and Anna Baldwin in Nine Mile Falls, WA. His family moved to Spokane in his early years, where he lived the remainder of his life. He graduated in 1948 from John R. Rogers H.S., and served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952. He worked for Western Fruit Express/Burlington Northern R.R. as a mill machine operator from 1953-1991. He married Roselie Collins on November 17, 1956. After 45 years of marriage, she preceded him in death in 2001. His sister, Lucille Fuher, also preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Steve Baldwin; daughter, Denise Zoyer (John); grandsons, Brock and Layton Zoyer; six brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved gardening. He was a dedicated sports fan. Bill was a loving husband, father, brother, and proud “Papa” who will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012, from 4-8 pm at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe, Spokane, WA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012, at 2 pm in the Alwin Chapel of Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. A potluck gathering will follow the service at the home of Denise Zoyer.
