The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, in the Worship Center at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, where Brittany was a member. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment immediately following in Evergreen City Cemetery.
Brittany leaves behind her mother, Katrina Palmer-White; grandmother, Lonnie C. Palmer; grandfather, Rev. James E. Palmer; two uncles, Rev. Kendrick V. Palmer, Sr. and Ricky Banks; two aunts, Tonya Palmer and Ashley Palmer; half-sister, Sharon Banks; half-brother, Michael Banks, Jr.; her father, Michael Banks, Sr.; and a host of great-aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
At church on Wednesday nights, Brittany taught in W-Zone. In missions, she was a part of the ongoing Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Project, and the Christ in Action (CIA) Ministry.
This past Tuesday, March 13, 2012, was a special day designed just for Brittany. She spent her day preparing for her Senior Exit Project, and the afternoon with best friends. Brittany’s infectious laughter will always remain the best evidence of her joy in the Lord. God called her home in the early morning of Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Her life and the legacy she leaves will always be a testament of her love for Christ.
Memorials may be made to Hickory Grove Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 6050 Hickory Grove Road, Charlotte, NC 28215.
