June Earlyn Adair passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 20, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Adair for 64 years. She was born to William and Sigrid Ermschler on January 25, 1925 in Blue Island, Illinois. She was preceeded in death by her sisters, Wilmetta and Betty and her brothers, Earl, Raymond and William. In addition to her husband, she leaves her devoted children; Kristen Rae and Robert William; her loving grandchildren, Robert Charles (who married Allison Weaver), Joel Patrick (who married Melissa Derrick) and Lara Dawn Suszynski (who married Marc) and the delight of her recent years, her 4 great-grandchildren; Robert John Thomas Adair (3), Zachary Mason Adair (2), Alexander Tillman Adair (almost 2) and Ryan Anderson Adair (1 month). She lived in Blue Island until she married Robert and subsequently lived in many places as an Air Force wife. After her husband’s tours as a student at the Air Command and Staff College and the Air War College at Maxwell AFB, she and her husband decided that Montgomery was a nice place to live and that they would retire here. They did so in 1975 when Robert retired from the Air Force. The family has always been very close. Kristen also took up residency in Montgomery. She served as a teacher in the Montgomery school system until she retired here. She has been a strong right arm for her mom and dad ever since. Son Robert married Patti Kauffman in Ohio and they moved to Auburn where he earned a degree in architecture, and then moved to the Atlanta area. Patti is a beautiful and caring person and has been a great source of spiritual uplift to the family. Ours has been a family that has received many blessings from the Lord, and now we give our beloved “Mom” to him. Robert E. Adair.
