Gregg was born August 21, 1955, in Mattoon, Il., to Everette and Marian Breningmeyer. He was a Duke University graduate with a Master’s in Business Administration. An employee of John Deere Worldwide Golf and Turf Company where he was the Director of Sales and Marketing.
On September 1, 1979 Gregg married the love of his life, Laurie Fantasia Breningmeyer, in Atlanta, Ga. Gregg was known for his stories, wit and wry sense of humor. He loved reading, boating and could always be found on the golf course. He enjoyed lifelong friendships around the world and will be missed by all.
Gregg is survived by his wife, Laurie Breningmeyer, of Raleigh; his sons, Zac Breningmeyer, of Jacksonville, Fl. And Josh Breningmeyer, of Raleigh; father, Everette Breningmeyer, of Largo, Fl.; Mother-in-law and father-in-law, Diana and Lewis Adams; sister, Marcy Erwin and husband Paul, of Rome, Ga.; sister, Lori Breningmeyer and husband Will Haselden, of Tallahassee, Fl.; Brother, Rhett Breningmeyer, of Tampa, Fl.; sister-in-law, Lia Watson and husband John, of Raleigh; brother-in-law, Vincent Fantasia, of Sanford, Fl.; Nieces, Meggie Bradberry, Callie Mendez and Olivia Watson; and Nephews, Spencer Erwin, Sam Haselden and Jack Watson.
The family would like to thank his doctors and staff at Duke Raleigh Hospital and Eastern Wake Dialysis Center for their care, compassion and support.
A Celebration of Gregg’s life will be Sunday August 12, 2012 at 1:00 pm, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC 27609. His family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
