Yukiko Anderson was born in Kyoto, Japan on June 14, 1927 to Konosuke and Kiku Imai Naka. She was the oldest child of her family, having one brother and two sisters. She married Lewie Anderson in 1951 in Japan, then followed him to the United States, living in San Antonio and Oklahoma before settling in Killeen. She raised three children alone, with the help of her network of good friends who became extended family. She supported her family by working in various jobs as a baker and deli manager.
Yuki was devoted to her family, and derived her greatest pleasure from being with them. She is survived by her daughter Linda Arrington and husband Ray, of Killeen; daughter Brenda Gallagher of Fort Worth; son Larry Anderson and wife Cathy, of Houston; and son Soji Naka and wife Kyoko, of Kyoto, Japan. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren: Tiffany Arrington of Killeen, Molly Gallagher of Denver, Colorado, Matthew Anderson of Austin, Christopher Anderson of College Station and Houston, Masato Naka of Kyoto, Japan, Satsuki Naka of Kyoto, Japan, and Miyuki Naka and husband of Kyoto, Japan. The light of her life was her best “Bubba,” great-grandson Ryder Hamden of Killeen.
The family would like to thank all her devoted friends for their love and support throughout her life. Thanks also go to the staff of Scott and White of Killeen and Temple for their care.
