Jean Andersen passed away on October 2, 2012 at the age of 80. Jean was born in San Francisco, California, to Leonard and Lorraine Morey. Jean graduated from Red Bluff High School in 1949. After graduation, Jean married the love of her life Merton Andersen. They ranched and lived in El Camino, California for 22 years where Merton built their first home. They had two children, Kathy and Mike. After their years in El Camino they bought a house in Red Bluff, California where Jean resided for 40 years. Jean worked for Diamond International, Louisiana Pacific, and Fiber Board for 40 plus years as a personnel manager. Jean was also a member of Red Bluff Emblem Club for 45 years. Jean loved being with family and friends. She traveled and spent many weekends house boating on Shasta Lake. To all who knew her, she was a loving and generous person. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Merton Andersen, her parents Leonard and Lorraine Morey, son, Michial Andersen, grandson Donald Gray, and sisters Barbara Andersen and Linda Hall. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Kourupes and husband Alex of Adin, California, granddaughter, Kristina Morris and husband Zach of Bieber, California, great-grandchildren, Cheyene and Wade Morris, Donnie, Kloee Gray, and Jarimiah Smith, her sister-in-laws; Viola Dyson of Red Bluff, Elizabeth Brunk of Red Bluff, Marie Goodwin and husband Arthur of Springfield Oregon, Hazel Pluim and husband Jan of Red Bluff, and Myrna Whatley and husband Bill of Longview, Washington and many nieces and nephews.
