ARLINGTON -- Ronald Richard Brown, 68, of Arlington passed away Friday, December 7. Ron was born December 4, 1944, in Sherbrooke, Canada. He grew up in Bedford, Ohio and graduated from Bowling Green State University. Ron was drafted into the Army in 1967 and served a tour in Vietnam, receiving a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. Ron and his family have been residents of Arlington since 1977. Ron was an independent insurance agent in Arlington. He was active in the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and was a founder of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 545 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Ron loved the Texas Rangers, sharing that love with his sons and grandchildren. One of his greatest joys was being with family, especially his grandchildren. Ronald is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara Brown; sons, Jason Brown and wife Angela; Darin Brown and wife Jill; grandchildren, Emma, Adaleigh, Kylie and Braden; sister, Diann Haden; brother, Russell Brown and numerous extended family members. The family of Ronald Brown will be accepting guests on Tuesday, December 11 from 6 to 8 pm at Moore Funeral Home. A service will take place on Wednesday, December 12 at 10 am at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 2200 North Davis Dr. Arlington, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Boy Scouts of America Troop 545.
