He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Pattie) Castor Allmond, and his daughter, Kaitlyn Faith Allmond, of the home; his mother, Linda Holley Allmond Strunk, and her husband, Allen, of Las Vegas, NV; his father, Duane Allmond, and his wife, Coral Lee, of Danville, VA; a brother, Greg Allmond (Joy) of Charlotte, NC; parents-in-law Dolph and Pat Castor of China Grove, NC; sisters-in-law Tammy Jones (Mike) and Julie Beaver (Mark); and six nephews , one niece, and one grand-nephew. He also leaves behind many wonderful uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Steve graduated from Danville Christian School in 1979, and later attended Florida Southern University, where he received a degree in finance/accounting. He had successful careers as a certified public accountant and a custom home builder (Steve Allmond Custom Homes). He enjoyed golf and was an avid racer at Virginia International Raceway. Steve was also an active member at Crossroads Fellowship Church, at the Millbrook Campus.
His most important accomplishments were his 17-year marriage to Pattie, becoming a father to Kaitlyn, and faithfully loving and serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 15 at Crossroads Fellowship, 2721 East Milbrook Road in Raleigh. Burial will follow the service in Highland Burial Park in Danville, V.A. at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. tonight at Brown Wynne Funeral home, 1701 East Milbrook Road in Raleigh.
