To meet Carolyn was to have your life changed. She was a brilliant educator and dedicated Social Worker who helped countless people on their life's journey. Her beautiful voice joined in song with the Seattle Women's Chorus since its founding ten years ago. She also lent her many talents to the Flying House Board of Directors.
Born September 14, 1946 in San Francisco, California, Carolyn died January 9, 2013 in Seattle, Washington. She is survived by her loving spouse, Nancy Mullane of Bellingham, Washington; sister, Cathy Hudnall of Nashville, Tennessee; and she is remembered and cherished by a multitude of friends, colleagues, neighbors, and her entire chorus family.
Her life was dedicated to innovative, insightful work with adolescents and adults surviving domestic violence/sexual abuse which she did through individual and group work, community based agencies, the justice system, and educational institutions. Carolyn passed her skills and provocative thinking on to her students, who continue this dedicated practice in the field of Social Work.
A Celebration of Carolyn's Life will be held Sunday, January 20, 2012 - 2:30 PM at All Pilgrims Church - 500 Broadway Avenue East, Seattle.
