Mermod Constant Jaccard, Jr., born August 4, 1928 to Mermod and Cleotiesse Jaccard in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away January 18, 2013 in Houston. Mr. Jaccard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn Reiney Jaccard. He is survived by daughter, Diane Jaccard; son, Mermod C. Jaccard III and wife, Minerva R. Jaccard; grandchildren, Mermod C. Jaccard IV, Philippe H. Jaccard II, Carlton A. Jaccard, and Jacqueline R. Jaccard; brother, Philippe H. Jaccard and wife, Deon L. Jaccard; nephews, Gregg P. Jaccard, Marc P. Jaccard and wife, Wendy Jaccard, and Lance P. Jaccard and wife, Allison Jaccard; brother-in-law, William R. Reiney, Jr. and wife, Patricia K. Reiney; niece, Jennifer L. Reiney, other family, and friends.
Mr. Jaccard graduated class of 1949 from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and was a member of the American Institute of Architects. He served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean War, then retired from the Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel after 35 years of service.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Heights Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, 5300 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77004. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
