Charles Bascom Peeler, 81, Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 16, 2013. He was a loyal and faithful member of Inman Memorial United Methodist Church and an active participant of the Kairos Ministry.
Charles was a native Floridian and lifelong resident of Jacksonville. He is a descendent of Corporal Michael Peeler, American Revolutionary War. Charles graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and Mississippi State College where he received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict .
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend W. Fletcher and Alice Peeler, wives Liselotte Margaret and Mary and his twin sister Ruth Irene Maxwell. He is survived by his sister Marion P. Bessent, two sons, Michael (Page) and Christopher (Ann), 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, two nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews and dear friend Mary Webster.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Inman Memorial United Methodist Church located 5344 Old Kings Rd. Jacksonville, 32254 with the Reverend Cleon Spencer officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the services. Interment immediately following at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
