She is survived by her dedicated husband of 30 years and her three beautiful children. She is also lovingly remembered by her father, brother, and sister.
Caren was born in New York City, New York on March 30th, 1955. After graduating from Stony Brook University, she moved from New York to Seattle to attend law school at the University of Washington. At the age of 21 she passed the bar and fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming an attorney.
Caren later went back to school to obtain her teaching certificate. When she wasn’t practicing law, she worked as a substitute teacher. From her students to her clients, she truly found fulfillment in helping others.
Caren had an adventurous spirit and loved to experience all the different things that life had to offer. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and beauty of nature. She loved to take hikes up to waterfalls, go on camping trips in her RV, take rides in her boat, and so on. Caren was never one to waste a sunny day or any day off she had for that matter.
Becoming a mom was Caren’s greatest accomplishment. Her children were her pride and joy, and she loved them unconditionally. She took great pride in being able to put all three of them through college.
A service in celebration of Caren's life will be held at the home of her husband, Marvin, in early July. Further details will provided later.
