Warren was born in Scranton, PA on August 5th, 1924, the son of the late Joseph and Edith (Coss) Rozelle. He graduated from Temple University with a Masters Degree and taught physical education and driver’s education in Haverford Township School District in Pennsylvania until his retirement. Warren and Amy relocated to Keuka Lake in Penn Yan, NY following his retirement, a place he greatly enjoyed. He was a life member of the Penn Yan Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, American Legion, Phi Epsilon Kappa and Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternities.
Warren is survived by his wife of 66 years, Amy; his daughter, Susan and her husband, Hans and their daughter, Vienna and son Leo; and his sister, Pearl Lewis. In addition to his parents and his seven siblings, he was predeceased by his son, Ernest J. Rozelle, who died after two tours of duty during the Vietnam War.
There will be an Elk’s Memorial Service held at 4pm on Friday, September 27th at the Penn Yan Elk’s Lodge on Main St., where a celebration of life will follow until 6pm. Memorial contributions may be made in “Bungy’s” memory to the 1609 Veterans Homeless Program, c/o Canandaigua VAMC, 400 Fort Hill, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
