Ed graduated from B.C. High School in 1943 and then joined the US Marine Corp. He served as a Corporal and spent two years in the South Central Pacific during World War II. Following the honorable discharge in 1946, Ed attended Boston College, graduating with a BSBA degree in 1950. Ed went to work for General Motors shortly thereafter where he met and married his loving wife, Jeannette Catherine Ledger, at the St Charles Church on January 26, 1957. They were married for 54 years until she passed in July, 2010. They moved to southern CA in 1962 where Ed had a long career as a financial consultant with Ford Motor Co., Bank of America and California Federal Banks. Ed was well known for his unique sense of humor and dedication to family.
Ed is survived by his four children; Daughters, Anne Marie Ryan of Monument, CO, Nancy Jones of Poncha Springs, CO and Carol De La Cruz (Kim Karzin) of Murrieta, CA; Son, Richard M. Ryan (Margaret) of Monument, CO; 11 Grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A private family visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014, from 5-6PM, open Rosary and guest visitation from 6-7PM at Weaver Mortuary Chapel, 1177 Beaumont Ave., Beaumont, California. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 28th, at 11:00AM at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 1234 Palm Ave., Beaumont, California. Ed will be laid to rest with his wife at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
Ed lived his life in faithful service of his God, his country and most of all his family.
Arrangements were entrusted to Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, California.
