He found his work in drug discovery and pathogen detection particularly rewarding but not as much fun as experimentation with explosives which was necessary on some of his government contract work.
Steve was a kind, loving, generous Christian person. He was an inspirational husband, father, brother, and son. He always found a way to bring a smile to the face of everyone he knew. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and positive attitude. He truly lived life to its fullest. He was active in youth baseball, community service, charitable giving, and chocolate consumption. Recently, he took an interest in collecting and repairing antique watches which still didn't help the family get to church on time.
