She was born in Littleton, Colorado on July 29, 1929.
She graduated from Central High School in Aurora, Colorado.
She was married to Ralph Whitman in 1948 and had two sons (Randy and Larry). She then married Ken Balkenbush in 1970 who preceded her in death.
Wilma (Angie) had a career as a secretary for Buckley Air National Guard where she retired from.
Wilma (Angie) had a passion for gardening, painting, listening to talk radio shows and loved all animals.
She is survived by her sons Randy (JoAnn) Whitman of Grand Junction and Larry (Pat) Whitman of Littleton. She had 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Ralph (Sally) Bockius of Aurora. She also has numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Bud and Celestine Bockius, a brother Walt Bockius and her husband Ken Balkenbush.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, April 15, 2014 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery Staging area A. A reception will follow for all family and friends at the Elks Lodge 3690 S Jason Street, Englewood, CO 80110.
