Morris E. Heininger, 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 22, 2014. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Stephen N. Johnson officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Heights Baptist Church, 158 Lamar Road, Macon GA 31220.
Mr. Heininger was born in DeKalb, IL to the late Harry and Jessie Heininger. He served in the United States Navy and was retired as an Industrial Engineer with Boeing. Morris was a member of New Heights Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. He also served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Awana leader for many years. After his retirement he and his wife were involved in RVICS (Roving Volunteers in Christ Service) for ten years and he volunteered with World Changers and Habitat for Humanity. A Godly man with a gentle spirit, he could be found in service to others and to his Lord. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne Heininger of Macon, son; Eric (Debbie) Heininger of Marietta, daughter; Karen Mainor of Macon, grandchildren; Jonathan and Michael Heininger of Marietta, Jaime (Chad) Ragan, Emily, Mia and Anna Mainor; great grandchildren; Chance and Parker Ragan, and sister; Margaret “Marty” Galster of New Mexico and several nieces and nephews.
