It is with immeasurable sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Kevan Christopher Perras in Calgary, AB on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the age of 20 years. Kevan was born in Calgary and spent most of his life here. He attended W.O. Mitchell, Foothills Academy and Robert Land Academy. He was attending the University of Calgary. His interests included skateboarding, long boarding, mountain biking, snow-boarding, cross country skiing, swimming, playing video games, and writing. He excelled at fiction and at non-fiction and won the Bohdam Cirka Award for creative writing at Robert Land Academy.
Kevan also loved and connected strongly with animals, especially dogs, cats and horses. He traveled a great deal throughout the world, visiting Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Trinidad, many countries in Europe, Disney World, and every province in Canada.
Kevan is lovingly remembered and will forever be deeply missed by his mother and father Lynne and Doug Perras, and his sister Robyn Perras. He is also survived by his half-brother Quin (Elmina) and half-sister Stephanie, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. Kevan will also be deeply missed by many friends. He was predeceased by grandparents Ernie and Sandra Hughes and Twila and Victor Perras. “Ride Brave, Kevan. Never Forget Forever.”
A Celebration of Kevan’s Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Kevan’s honour directly to the Calgary Humane Society, 4455 -110 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 2T7.
