She was born in Mexico, Maine on November 25, 1932, a daughter of Walter B. Pillsbury Jr. and Flora Paulin Pillbsury.
Joyce was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephen’s High School. She resided in Mexico most of her life. She was employed with Oxford Paper Co. for many years and retired from the State of Maine Department of Transportation.
Joyce was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Mexico and was a member of their Guild.
She enjoyed knitting and donated many pairs of mittens to the free store in Mexico. She also loved reading romance novels, watching the Hallmark Channel, and working in her flower garden.
Joyce is survived by her son Joseph R. Parkman and wife Priscilla of Rumford, sister Susan Pelletier of Canton, sister in law Pam Pillsbury of North Carolina, step daughter Penny Parkman, step son Tracy Parkman, grandson Jeffrey Aube of Sydney, ME., and granddaughter Ashlynn Young of Mexico.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Walter Pillsbury.
