Timothy A. Bowling of Commerce Township, passed away suddenly on February 24, 2018 at 57 years of age. Loving husband of Lori for 31 years. Proud father of Samantha Bowling and Gerian (Brandon) Stephens. Brother of Terry (Genesia) Bowling, Teresa (Tim) Powers and Kay (Jim) Turner. Nephew of Grace (the late Larry) Bowling. Son-in-law of Eugene and Sandra Wimbrow. Brother-in-law of Kellie (Joel) Wimbrow, Brenda Wimbrow and Mark Gilchrist. Special family to Tina, Megan and Mandy Kelly. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Patty Bowling.
Tim enjoyed scratch off Bingo lottery tickets and going to the casino. He loved his Lions and Tigers and was an avid U of M sports fan. He liked bowling, was very competitive and "loved to win". His greatest joy was spending time with his family, bon fires with the kids, and teaching his children how to ride the lawn tractor and fish. He was such a good teacher, his children learned to fish better than him and caught bigger fish at the end of the day. Along with spending time with the family, he especially enjoyed listening to his daughter, Samantha sing, dance and perform in theatre. His proudest day was when she received a scholarship to the New York Film Academy. He will truly be missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road in White Lake. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-8 pm. Memorial contributions suggested to the Samantha Bowling College Fund.
