Wendell D. Luce

Mr. Luce was born November 25, 1924 in Oklahoma, the son of the late Cora (Fry) and Levi Luce. He passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 in Crockett.

Mr. Luce was a loving husband, uncle and brother-in-law. He was an auto mechanic for 15 years for Jack Barbee Pontiac in Crockett. He also opened and operated Luce Generator and Starter Shop in Lufkin for 15 years. He loved his country and proudly served for three and a half years in the United States Navy. Mr. Luce was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Creola Wilcox of Crockett; nephews, James E. Wilcox of Crockett and Terry Luce of Grapeland; niece, Maria Nevels of Liberty Hill; nephew, Donald Odom of Broaddus; nieces, Delsie Scott, Jan Kuykendall and Pamela Turner, all of Waskum; and special friend, Ralph Beasley of Jasper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Luce; and brothers, Bert Luce, Raymond Luce, Arlie Luce and Leonard Luce.
