Lillian Mae (Mazie) Shore, 90, passed away on March 9, 2018, in Dewitt, Michigan. She was born and raised in Gulliver, Michigan, lived a long happy life raising children in Bath, Michigan; lived briefly in Potterville and other greater Lansing areas as well as Corpus Christi, Texas, and Bradenton, Florida. Mazie was born on Easter Sunday, April 17, 1927, to Ralph Huntington Merwin and Helen Dorothy Lucas who preceded her in death along with her siblings, Ruth, Charlotte, and Ralph. During her extremely full lifetime, Mazie was married to Harold W. Winkel and has four surviving children, Dorothy of Florida, Daniel (Elaine) of McBain, Michigan, David (Patte) of Elsie, Michigan, and Douglas (Anne) of Dewitt, Michigan. She was married to Milford J. Snider of Potterville in 1970 and after his passing was mother to his children Judy (Jim deceased) Beckwith in Michigan, Bonnie (Don) Fisher in Oregon, Barb (Bill) Dean in Minnesota, Sue (Joe) Hildenbrand in Michigan, John (deceased) (Lila) Snider in Michigan, Bernie (Phyllis) Snider in Michigan, Tim (deceased) (Sheila) in Michigan, Theresa (Rick) Van Fossen in Michigan, and Mark Snider in Michigan. In 1974 she married Lynn H. Kribs of Lansing and in 1982 married Eric H. Shore, a retired London police officer, both of whom preceded her in death. At Eric’s side she traveled extensively and happily. In addition to the above, Mazie is survived by 29 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Bath United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 2 p.m. Luncheon to follow.
