Mac Arthur Reeves, 75, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home with Stan Horton officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the funeral home.
Mac was born on June 9, 1942 in Batesville, Texas to William Arthur and Mary (Prado) Reeves. He married Marilynn Clark on November 9, 1963 in Oklahoma. Mac worked for Texas Electric as a lineman for 21 years. He was a member of the Wichita County Mounted Patrol and Wichita County Young Farmers where he served as president and at one point won Young Farmer of the Year. Mac was an avid hunter and had a passion for working on cars, especially his 1957 Chevy. He was a great family man to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was known as the rock of his family.
Mac was preceded in death by his parents two brothers, Roy and Joe Frank Reeves, and beloved son-in-law, Michael McCarty.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Marilynn Reeves of Iowa Park; son, Chris Reeves of Arlington, Texas; daughter, Lisa Geeting and husband, Joe of Iowa Park; three grandchildren, Christopher Hollis, Joshua Witherspoon, and Kaycen Witherspoon; and one great grandchild, Hayden Hollis; brother, Sonny Reeves of Mandree, North Dakota; and sister, Doris Bryne of Savoy, Texas.
