Gerald E. Guse, 81, of Marengo, passed away March 22, 2018 at Journey Care in Woodstock. He was born December 20, 1937 in Belvidere to Fred and Grace Guse. On October, 29, 1966, he married Verna L. Guse. Gerald loved fishing, bike riding, traveling to Michigan and Missouri and supporting the Rockford Rescue Mission. He was also an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox and a proud Army Veteran.
Gerald was a devoted husband to the late Verna Guse. Dear father of Larry Morse, Gordon (Kathy) Morse, Sharon Cochran, and Robert (Sue) Morse and the late William Morse. Cherished grandfather of NiCole, Larry Jr., Ty, Lorraine, Shelby, Sherry, Chad, Michelle and the late Kristy. Proud great-grandfather of 18 and great-great grandfather to 6.
Memorial Service at First Baptist Church, 320 E. Washington St., Marengo, IL 60152 on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rockford Rescue Mission, 715 W. State St., Rockford IL, 61102.
