He attended grade school at Stevens and High School at North Central. At the age of 18yrs he joined the Army National Guard, serving for 8yrs. Married Vyonda L. Stickelmeyer Sept. 5th, 1964. They were lovingly married for 53 yrs.
Ted and Vyonda bought a house in 1964, where they lived their whole married life. They purchased a new boat and camper in 1969 and went camping and boating with family and friends at Porcupine Bay on Lake Roosevelt for many years. After retirement Ted & Vyonda spent many winters in Yuma, AZ enjoying the warm weather.
In his early years Ted loved to work on race cars with Jim Tipke and friends. Rarely did he miss a Nascar race. Dale Earnhardt Sr. was his favorite driver. He worked for Super Value Grocers as a union truck driver for 42yrs, earning many safe driving awards. Ted was a member of the Eagles Arie 2 for 45yrs.
Ted was a jack of all trades, remodeling their house several times, building a shop, working on cars and helping family and friends with odd projects. He was always there to lend a helping hand.
Ted is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife, Vyonda; their two children Brent Cunningham and his wife Laurie, Robin Jacobs; grandchildren Shawn Lindley and his wife Sharo, Jenni, Paul; great grandchildren Alexa, Shawn, Jaden, Kerrianna, Haylee Ray; brother Red, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brothers, Bill, Bob, Glenn, Mike, and Steve, his sisters Shirley, Jean, and his grandson Trevor Cunningham who he adored with all his heart.
Ted passed away on April 6th at the age of 79. Wednesday April 18th would have been his 80th Birthday. He will truly be missed by his family.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 18th at 3:00pm in the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205. Burial will be following the service at Fairmount.
