Born on August 4, 1959 in Virginia, he was the son of the late Garland and Patricia Whitlow.
Michael worked for the City of Beckley and was a member of the Indian Meadows Fellowship, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Michael was a licensed Ham operator under the call sign (KC8RGV), as a younger CB operator he used the handle Sampson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee and Jeff Whitlow and one sister, Sherrie Whitlow.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 28 years, Paulette (Sweetness) Whitlow; mother-in-law, Helen Kiblinger; one brother, William Whitlow; one sister, Lisa Gilbert; a host of nieces and nephews; pets, Bobby and Lillie; friends at his Indian Meadows Summer camp and two special friends, Steve Bowles and Terry Smith.
The family would like to thank Dr. Zafar at Beckley ARH and the staff of Bowers Hospice House.
Friends may gather at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm for a graveside service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV.
