Sharon Elizabeth Means (Sugar) passed away on April 10, 2018. She was born on August 10, 1959 to Charles W and Josephine D James in Kirkwood, MO. She graduated from Fulton High School. She earned her bachelor and masters degrees in Education from the University of MO Columbia and William Woods University. She married David Means in 1983 and has 3 surviving children: Megan Brooke Friday (Robert), Mallory Ann Morice (Matthew), and Mackenzie David Means. She is also survived by her parents Charles and Josephine James, brother Charles Samuel James (Tina), nephew Brian (Elise) James and niece Kristen James, and grandchildren, Robert Thomas Friday IV and Micah Jo Morice.
Shari was the Assistant Professor of Education, Director of Student Teaching and Clinical Experiences and a member of the William Woods community for the past 15 and a half years. She was a tremendous asset to the William Woods faculty, specializing in the areas of Elementary Education, learning disabilities, and special needs students. Generations of students have benefited from her guidance.
Her love of traveling, shopping, the beach and playing with her grandchildren will always be remembered and cherished.
The visitation will be Saturday April 14th at 12 at Court Street United Methodist Church, with the funeral following at 2pm. Memorials should be dedicated to Heart of Missouri CASA and Fulton
Public Schools Foundation.
