Shan Christopher Hobbs

Shan Christopher Hobbs, 46, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday in Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Wade Dawson will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 2:00 PM at the graveside. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Sandersville, 316 Mathis Lane, Sandersville, Georgia 31082.

Shan was born in Tampa, Florida and was a United States Navy veteran having served in the Persian Gulf. He was a forklift driver and an avid sports fan, especially loving the Dallas Cowboys. Shan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sandersville. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Horace Hobbs, Lucy Langford, and Sarah and George Redd.

Shan is survived by his mother, Deborah Mercer (Gary); father, Hamp Hobbs (Rochelle); daughter, Alexis Michelle Hobbs; three step-sisters; five step-brothers, numerous nieces and nephews; aunts, Linda Jones and Jan Ryerson (Frank); uncle, Randy Redd (Marsha); cousins, Michelle Collier (Brian), Christie Thompson (Bud), Nickie Brooks (Steve), and Brandy Faulkner.
