She married Arthur Moir in college and left to begin the next chapter together as missionaries to a small colony in Mexico. She later returned to Washington with her family and eventually began pastoring. Her call to serve continued as she focused her outreach on the homeless community, providing warm clothes, blankets and meals while teaching of God’s love and mercy. She tirelessly worked to spread God’s word to members of her church and many more until God called her home.
Her family paid this tribute to her, “She was one of the most unselfish and giving people you would ever meet. Her example of love and kindness will live on in our hearts forever.”
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Virginia Kittinger and her sister, Carole Joy Philips.
She is survived by her beloved children, David (Kim) Moir, Robert Moir, James Moir, Jennifer Treece, sisters Lori (Jerry) Van Proyen, Frances Stewart, grandchildren Jillian, Riley, Nicole, Erich and Lindsay, great-grandchildren Zoe, Chayse, David, Dakota and Roman.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down
in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me;
Thou preparest a table before me in
the presence of mine enemies;
Thou anointest my head with oil,
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the
Lord forever.
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever. Psalm 30 11-12 (KJV)
CRY FOR ME NO MORE
Cry for me no more.
For I have entered God’s heavenly door.
It is the place of true rest,
Don’t forget to do your best.
I have found peace with the Creator.
It is now up to you to one day take this journey, too.
Fear not, it is a place where all things are made new.
“Forgive us of our sins” was my chant.
Don’t even think, “I can’t make it in.”
You can win. Cry for me know more.
For I have entered God’s heavenly door.
