Lee Joseph Zeringue, 87, a native of Wallace and resident of Vacherie, passed away on May 20, 2018. He is a retired Supervisor from Colonial Sugar Company in Gramercy, Louisiana. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign War. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, hunting and dancing. Lee is survived by two sons, Nathan Zeringue and Joel Zeringue; two sisters, Mae Zeringue Griffin and Audry Zeringue; one brother, Robert “Bob” Zeringue, Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Sandra A. Zeringue; one son-in-law, David Whiddon, Jr.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma W. Zeringue; his parents, Eleanor and Robert Zeringue; one son, Clyde Zeringue; and one brother, Clarence “Ken” Zeringue, Sr.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie from 8:00 am until the Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the church mausoleum. If you would like to offer the family condolences, please visit www.oursodonaldsonville.com
