Mary Ruth Cozad, 88, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018. She was born October 12, 1929 in Ambridge, daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Stone (Ruth) Beerman. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary provided exceptional nurture and guidance to her children as her husband Rudy proudly served his country in a Military Career.
She was a faithful member of St. Ferdinand Parish, Cranberry for over 40 years, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister; was a member of the Women’s Group; the Funeral Luncheon Committee and a Bible Study Group. Mary was also a member of the Red Hat Society for a number of years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Leo Beerman.
Mary is survived by her husband of 65 years: Rutherford “Rudy” Cozad; six children and spouses: Michael (Helen) Cozad, Crafton; Mark (Donna) Cozad, Cranberry Township; Anita (Brian) Neff, Cape Coral, FL; Mary Jo (Carl) Follmer, Freedom; Julia (Jeff) Jenkins, Erie; Teresa (Chris) Carney, Baltimore, MD; thirteen grandchildren: Christopher, Erin, A.J., Molly, Kelly, Logan, Patrick, Maura, Haley, Kevin, Lauren, Declan and Nolan, all of whom she was immensely proud; and four great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Vicky Mentzer, Crafton and Jean Beerman, Leetsdale.
Friends are being received today, Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., Rochester.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 at St. Ferdinand Church, 2535 Rochester Rd, Cranberry Township, PA 16066. The public is respectfully invited to arrive directly at the Church on Monday morning. Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
