Marie passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas, at the Age Of 92. Marie is survived by her son Gil Rodrick Jr., Grandsons; Christian Rodricks, Shawn Rodricks, Colton Rodricks, John Kenneth Rodricks, Eric Rodricks and Grand Daughter; Skylar Johnson. Great Grand daughters; Devon Rodricks, Madison Rodricks, and Sharon Marie Rodricks and Great Grandsons; Ryan Rodricks, Austin Rodricks and Javion Rodricks and Great Great Grandson; Logan Rodricks. Brother; Ralph White, Sisters; Alice Davis, Danie Acosta, And Shela Early.
Marie is preceeded in death by her beloved husband Gil Rodrick Sr. Son Kenneth Rodricks and Stepson William Carlton. Daughter In Law, Sharon Rodricks, Sisters; Kathy Carlton, Dorothy Kirk, Sue Johnson, Dian Bacon And Brother Sidney White.
Marie was born in Mcrae, Georgia on October 27, 1925 to parents Duncan And Novella White. She was the oldest of her 8 Siblings. She married her sweetheart Gil Rodricks In 1944. Following her husbands work transfers, Marie And Gil Lived In Santa Barbara, California, then San Antonio, Texas and finally settling in Houston, Texas.
Marie was always tireless and determined in support of her friends and family throughout her life. She always maintained independence, courage, generosity, sensitivity, integrity, dignity, and lived life as fully as possible.
Marie's advocations were gardening and croche. She created many beautiful and elaborate throws and blankets which she gifted to family and friends which will be cherished as a memory of Marie. Her gardening skills were amazing and any thing she planted flourished.
Her generosity with her time, her energy, her advice and in so many other ways provided loving and invaluable support to relatives, neighbors and even strangers, to whom my mother provideid help and support in their times of need. She always had uncompromising integrity and honesty and imparted those values in her children and grandchildren.
As a parent and friend, Marie had an extraordinary ability to make her family feel stronger and more confident. She will allways live in the memories and hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her family will always be extremely proud to be the offspring of Marie Rodricks.
SHE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW HER AND THE MEMORIES OF HER WILL ALWAYS REMAIN IN THEIR HEARTS.
