Rudolph Louis Specter, age 95, of Granada Hills, California, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 (18 Tammuz 5778). Rudi was born April 9, 1923 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to David and Eva (neé Serck) Specter.
Rudi is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Charlotte Specter; his sons, Loni (Julie) Specter, Daryl (Caryn) Specter, and Bennett (Andrea) Specter; his grandchildren, Colin (Robyn) Specter, Kelsey Specter, Max Specter, Sam Specter, and Rory Stillman; and his extended family.
Funeral services for Rudi will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Groman Eden Mortuary, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA. Services will conclude graveside, in Eden Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rudolph's memory may be made to the Jewish Defense League.

Rudi served in the Army-Air Corp, World War II, and the Air Force Honor Guard will be presenting Honors at graveside. Rudi was a Technical Sergeant, and flew in a B-24 Liberator named "The Sunsetter", as part of the 431st Bomb Squadron, 11th Bomb Group, 7th Air Force, 2135th AAF Base Unit. Serving on the Pacific Front in WWII, he earned such distinguished medals as the Air Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the Distinguished Flying Cross.
