Jeanne Redwine, lovingly called mom, friend, Aunt Kewpie, Gamma and Aunt Gamma, lived a wonderful, sometimes adventurous life. She was born on August 3, 1926 in Arthur, Nebraska to Orval Meth and Della Adkins and passed away on July 3, 2018. She was a sweet lady who welcomed all with a hug and a generous spirit. She married James Sanders and they raised five children: Sherman Sanders, Jimmie Sanders, Karla Sanders Crawford, Devra Sanders Martincavage and Shannon Sanders Furiosi. When James Sanders passed away she worked at McClellan AFB in Materials Management. She was honored for her dedication and exemplary work with airbases worldwide.
She was very artistic; she painted landscapes and portraits and created art projects with grandchildren. She loved dogs, collected Kewpie dolls and enjoyed taking volksmarches. She enjoyed math and numbrix puzzles. An accomplished seamstress, she created her own patterns and taught her daughters to make their own clothes. Growing up in the depression she learned to make do, make over and create beautiful items from virtually anything.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Verley and Harold Meth and her sister Ruth O'Bar. She is survived by her 5 children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be missed by all who called her friend, mom or Gamma. Memorial will be held on August 3, 2018 at 5 PM at Foothill Community Center 5510 Diablo Dr. Sacramento 95842.
