William Ray Molandes

Graveside services for William Ray Molandes, 61, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 in the Procella Cemetery in Nacogdoches County.

Mr. Molandes was born June 24, 1957 in Angelina County, Texas, the son of Jenice (Burgay) Molandes and the late Orvell J. Molandes. He passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Lufkin.

William retired from Lufkin Industries Buck Creek Division after 40 years of service. He was a Class A Machinist. William loved sports, fishing, and Nascar.

Survivors include his mother, Jenice Molandes of Lufkin; sisters, Patricia Lilley and Kimberly Slaten, both of Lufkin; niece, Morgan Lilley; nephew, Travis Lilley; and best friend, James Maggard.

In addition to his father, William was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Paul Molandes and Tommy Gene Molandes.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Gipson Funeral Home.
