Born in Staten Island, New York on June 8, 1932 to the parents of Ethel & Joseph Fessler (deceased). She was married to Warren Hans Berliner, now deceased. They moved to Sarasota in 1958.
She was known as the “Rosary Lady” for leading the daily rosary every morning at 7am at St Michael’s church from 1984-2008. She also volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul collecting and distributing their clothing donations to the poor. She actually was named Ethel, after her mother, but wasn’t having any of that old lady name stuff and went by Rose, her middle name, but unfortunately that feisty woman "or Broad as my New York City father would say", in 2007 and the years following, suffered from NPH & a series of strokes, which led to her eventual death.
She is survived by 9 children: Cookie (Maryann), Steve, Diane (deceased), Michele, Daniel, Bunk “Warren Jr.”, Chris, Serena & Lucia. She has 7 grandchildren: Kristen, Sasha, Adam, Nick, Ethan, Miranda, & Kyle who are the coolest ever.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church; 12905 E. State Rd. 70, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202.
