Born in New York City, Adolph grew up in Union City, and was a past resident of Ridgefield and Upper Saddle River, NJ.
He has resided with his loving wife, Jennie Marie (nee Palumbo) of 73 years in Holiday Heights, Toms River, NJ, for the past 28 years.
Surviving are his devoted wife Jennie, along with their children, Robert Leone and his wife, Deborah, Maryann Wejnert and her husband, Louis, and Gina Kloeppel and her husband, Andrew. He was pre-deceased by his son, Ronald in 2004. Adolph also leaves four grandchildren, Jason Wejnert, Tamara Claverie, Jessica Leone and Andrea Kloeppel and five great grandchildren, Lily, Logan, Leah, Rylan and Amelia. Predeceased by siblings Peter, Joseph, Edward, Arthur and Edna, Adolph is survived by his brother Frank Leone and sister Ann Cappozzi. He is also survived by many Palumbo brothers- and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Adolph owned and operated several Tool & Die manufacturing companies with his sons, Robert and Ronald before retiring. Adolph had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed the companionship of many friends. He had many hobbies and enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and crabbing as well as photography, painting and creating stained glass pieces.
Visitation will be held at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755 on Wednesday August 8th at 2:00 to 4:00PM and again at 7:00 to 9:00PM in the evening.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Maximillian Kolbe Church, 130 St. Maximillian Ln., Toms River, NJ on August 8th at 11:30AM followed by internment at St. Joseph Cemetery at 685 Hooper Ave with entrance on Cedar Grove Road.
