Kenneth was born November 24, 1930 in Bowman, Georgia the son of the late Horace Wilkes Seymour and the late Ollie Estelle Seymour. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Zack Seymour, Roger Seymour, and Tony Seymour.
Kenneth was a graduate of Bowman High School. He obtained his Bachelors of Science Degree in Forestry from the University of Georgia. Kenneth later meet and married the love of his life, Ruth Seymour. He soon became Vice President of a pulp and paper company owned by Tenneco, a leader in the forest industry in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Kenneth and his family resided in Savannah, Tennessee. After his retirement, he and his wife moved back to Bowman, Georgia. In 2014, they moved to Brunswick, Georgia to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Kenneth was a member of Bowman Baptist Church.
Left to cherish Kenneth’s memories are his loving wife of sixty-six years, Ruth Seymour of Brunswick, GA; his two sons and daughter-in-laws, Anthony and LaDawna Seymour of Woodbine, GA and Eric and Christi Seymour of Brunswick, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela Seymour and Jim Latham of Brunswick, GA; nine wonderful grandchildren, Blake, Annalize, Delvin, Noah, Sydne Jane, Dallas, Nicholas, Tyler, and Makenzie; one sister, Jane Coker (George); a brother, Morris Seymour (Shelba). Two precious great grandchildren, Emmalyn and Leonidas also survive.
Kenneth loved to spend time with family and friends. He also took great pride in providing for his love ones. Kenneth was quite a WWII History enthusiast. He also enjoyed the hobby of collecting. Kenneth will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
The family will celebrate Kenneth’s life with a graveside memorial service held at a later date. The service will give honor to a life well lived.
