Patsy Sue Clay, was born Patsy Sue Yoast on Friday April 14, 1939, in Sherman, Texas. She went home to be with her LORD at 4:50am Saturday October 27, 2018.
Her proud parents were Clarence and Ethel (Barr) Yoast. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, William Woody Clay, by brother Billy Yoast, and wife Julie, by sister Mary Yoast Reddick and husband Don, and by son-in-law David Morison.
She is survived by her four children; son Terry Clay and wife Bonnie, daughter Danna Clay Morison, daughter Cathy Clay Mitchell and husband Bill, and son Gary Clay and wife Crystal. By six grandchildren; Ashton Clay Oliver, and husband Roger, Tanner Clay and wife Courtney, Christina Morison, Amber Clay, Jason Mitchell and wife Nicole, and Chris Mitchell and wife Hollie. By six great grandchildren; Rope, Grayson, Graeme, Abbie, Levi, and Cooper. She is also survived by brother-in-law Buddy Clay, sister-in-law Elsie Clay Park, and sister-in-law Judy Clay Hargrove. And by a number of nephews and nieces, along with many special cousins and friends.
Patsy was a member of First Baptist Church, Denison, Texas.
She lived with her husband and children for a number of years in the Hyde Park area of Denison, Texas. She was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church there and served as a Sunday School Teacher and Vacation Bible School Director.
Patsy worked for Texoma Medical Center for 37 years. After retiring she gave herself to enjoying her kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Family visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday November 2, 2018 at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison.
Funeral services will be 10:00am, Saturday November 3, 2018 at The First Baptist Church in Denison with son Terry Clay officiating and burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Denison.
Pallbearers will be; Bill Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Ronnie Yoast, David Reddick, Tanner Clay and Roger Oliver. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Jimmy Steele, Bobby Clay, Ted Park and Fred Gerwick.
