home of her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Settineri, in Georgetown,
Mass., at the age of 84.
Maryann was born on May 1, 1934, to Joseph and Mary (Saletta) Panzini of Everett.
She was raised and educated in Everett and at an early age, she worked for
Schrafft's Candy Company in Charlestown, then Stuart's Department Store in
Malden. She took her love of sweets to the Stop & Shop in Medford, where she
worked as a baker for 21 years until she retired in 2014, at the age of 80.
Maryann was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Costa of Medford, who she met
at the Wonderland Ballroom and with whom she shared 10 years of marriage, and her late brothers, Joseph and Robert Panzini of Everett. She was also married to the late Richard L. Marchant of Everett.
She is survived by her children, Paula Pietrella of Swampscott, Linda (John)
Settineri of Georgetown, and Richard (Dana) Marchant of Brockton; her
grandchildren, Justin (Heidi) Pietrella of Charlestown, Jared (Lindsey) Pietrella of
North Attleboro, Sophia Marchant of Everett and Shane and Noah Marchant of
Brockton. She also leaves two great-grandchildren, Zelda and Parker Pietrella of
Charlestown, who affectionately called her "Nana the Great;" and many nieces and
nephews.
She also leaves many of her poker friends from the Irish American Club of Medford
where she enjoyed playing ten and twenty cents Texas Hold'em every Wednesday
afternoon.
The family of Maryann would like to thank all friends and co-workers for the many
prayers, flowers and donations of food, and would like to extend their gratitude to
all the staff at Care Dimensions who provided hospice care. Donations may be

Visiting hours will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street,
Lynn, on Sunday, November 4th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, on November 5th, 2018,
at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and will meet inside the main gate of the cemetery at 175 Broadway, Malden at 10:45 a.m.
