She was born March 3, 1947 in Spokane, WA to David T. Ayler and Virginia E. Ayler, joining big sister, Melanie.
She is survived by husband Tom Reser, son Stacey Culver and wife Elizabeth, grandchildren David and Michael Culver, sister Melanie and husband Bob Paschall and nephew James, along with cousins Jerry, Marilyn, Susan, Steve, and Janice. Also survived by mother and father-in-law Donna and Bob Reser, and sisters/brothers-in-law Janie Melzer (Alan), Sue Anderson (Gene), and David (Don Swopes) and sister of her heart Karen Saffer (Ed) who shared 60 years of life with Patty.
Patty loved her family, friends, gardening, antiquing, puppies and kittens, along with sitting on a bench with a cup of coffee watching Sullivan Lake. She was a gentle force of nature. She lived her life with strength, integrity, and gratitude and was a rare and special gift to all who knew her.
Special thanks to Karen and Ed Saffer for being such great friends and all the help they provided for Patty’s care. Thanks also to Shelley for keeping the gardens looking so good and Lynne Schierman for all the special cards sent to boost her spirits and bring a smile to her face. Also, thanks to Dr. Sienko and all the staff at Cancer Care Northwest, Drs. Seltman and Juviler, and Horizon Hospice and all their teams who helped care for Patty these last few months.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to S.C.R.A.P.S., Union Gospel Mission or the Charity of your choice.
