Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26 at the funeral home.
Jim was born on August 1, 1949 in Callaway County, Missouri to the late Curtis and Betty Jo Hendrix Humphreys. He was married on May 27, 1978 in Fulton to Diana Lee Howe and she survives.
Jim was a lifelong farmer who was a Founding Member of the Ozark Mountain Pork Co-op. He was also a member of the Cedar Creek Grazing Association and a Founding Member and Past President of the Callaway County Fair Board.
He graduated from Fulton High School in 1967 and then earned his Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry from the University of Missouri in 1971. Jim was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Fulton and had been faithfully attending Southside Baptist Church also in Fulton.
In addition to his wife of forty years, Diana, he is also survived by two sons Carson (Katie) Humphreys and Josh (Angela) Humphreys both of Fulton; one brother, John (Tena) Humphreys of Lebanon, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Curtis, Colin, Keegan, Crosby, Macey, Jill, Henry, Gideon and Rowan along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Carson and Cenie Humphreys and one sister, JoAnn Humphreys.
