Connie Ezell, age 69, resident of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at East Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled at Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, Alabama on Friday, November 30, 2018, 1 p.m. with Reverend Ray Sutton officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 29,2018 from 6-8 p.m.
Mrs. Ezell, daughter of the late Alfred Eldin Way and June Temperance Besecker Way, was born May 7, 1949 in Tacoma, Washington. She was a lady who loved to crochet, watch Pearl shows, and tend to her garden. A very caring and nurturing lady who loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Ezell was preceded in death by a sister, Kendra Riddlehoover; three brothers, Gary Way, Vernon Way, and Tony Way; and two grandsons, Andrew Renfroe and Nicholas E. Thompson.
She is survived by two daughters, Tonya Thompson and her husband John of Phenix City, Alabama and Trina Renfroe and her husband Jackie of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; one son, Todd Farthing of Phenix City, Alabama; four sisters, Karen Smith, Bonnie Purvis, Nancy Gonzalez, and Norma Way; three brothers, Allen Way, Michael Way, and Alfred Way and his wife Robin; eight grandchildren, James Sanders, Eric Sanders, Justin Farthing, Amber Renfroe, Lauren Farthing, Jonathan Thompson, Aden Farthing, and Alania Renfroe; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas I. Thompson and Brynnlee Thompson; many other relatives and friends.
