Muriel was born August 13, 1925 in Boyleston, Nova Scotia, Canada to Horace and Gertrude Kinsman. She passed away December 1, 2018 in Wheat Ridge, CO. She was married to the late Rev. David Alexander Chambers in Belle Rose, NY on August 26th of 1950, her late father Rev. Horace Kinsman officiating.
At the age of eighteen, Muriel Kinsman taught school in a one-room schoolhouse in Bear Point, Nova Scotia, serving all classes from Kindergarten to Grade Ten until the conclusion of WW2.
She was a graduate of Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, and was a founding member of United Indian Missions International. Together with her late husband she served the Navajo and Havasupai Indian tribes of Arizona as a missionary in the 1950s and '60s. She also served as a Secretary for Denver Seminary.
She is survived by her son David Dwight Chambers of Arvada, CO and by her granddaughter Jennifer Ferry of Edgewater, CO. She has one surviving brother, her twin, Melvin Kinsman of London, Ontario, Canada.
A memorial service for Muriel Kinsman Chambers, age 93, will be held at 10:00 AM at Trinity Church, 4490 Newland St., Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
