Louise Honeycutt Graham Schell, age 95 of Conover, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Carolina Caring in Newton, NC. Born July 3, 1923, in Catawba county, she was the daughter of the late Kemp Carter Honeycutt Sr., and Hattie Pauline Hunsucker Honeycutt.
Louise was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She retired as an office manager for the Girl Scouts Council.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Arthur Graham; daughter, Betty Graham Burris; and brother, Kemp Honeycutt Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Joe Herman Schell; son, David Graham; daughters, Alice James and Leon, Judy Watson and husband, Dennis, step-daughters, Cathy Oliver and husband, Larry, Patty Richardson and Ritchie; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Conover with Pastor Peggy Stout officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
Louise was known as the “hat lady” because she had a beautiful collection of hats that she wore to church. The family asks that in memory of Louise, that you please consider wearing a hat to the service.
