He was born on June 7, 1968 in Loraine, Texas to Francisco and Petra Vigil Fuentes Sr.
Frankie was a man who believed in working hard, playing hard, and showing unending love to his family. He worked in the oilfields for much of his working career, until he was no longer able to work. He had one grandchild, Lilly, who he spoiled thoroughly and in his eyes she was perfect and could do no wrong. He was a man who loved watching every sport he could find, but did not have a favorite team in particular so it was hard to tell who he would be routing for. One thing he never lost from childhood was his ability to play basketball and his love of the game, he was an all-star through his whole high-school career. Aside from basketball Franki enjoyed fishing and his rock-n-roll (especially Kiss), often packing his kids up in the car and driving around just listening to music to relax.
Frankie is survived by his wife Julia Gonzales Fuentes of Westbrook, by his sons Joe Ponce of Westbrook and Andrew Fuentes and fiancé Courtney Tipton of Stephenville, and by his granddaughter Lilly Ponce. He is also survived by his mother Petra Fuentes and his brothers Romiro Fuentes and wife Mary of Westbrook, Ruben Fuentes of Westbrook, and Richard Fuentes of Westbrook, as well as by several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly, especially Scooby and Pooch!
He was preceded in death by his father Francisco Fuentes Sr. and by a sister Jesse Fuentes Reyna
