Walter Suby was born June 10, 1933 in Klein-Mergthal, Czech Republic to Johann and Adele Suby, he was an only child. While he was still young his family relocated to Bremerhaven, Germany not by their own will, but because of the war and dangers that it entailed. While attending High School, Walter was able to enroll in a trade school that provided him training as a machinist. He left Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1955 where he found work in a Gold Mine. He worked in a Saw Mill in Vancouver BC, and even worked as a Logger in Alaska. His work ethic was tremendous. In the early 1960's he immigrated to the USA to the Everett area of Washington. Around 1963 he was asked to help someone move which he gladly obliged, it turned out that the woman he would assist in moving would be his future mother-in-law. He and Linda met that day and in 1965 married to spend the next 53 years enjoying life together.
Walter and Linda moved to Marysville, there he pursued a passion in automobile restoration and repairs. He loved to take an older vehicle and make it shine once again. He sold some of these vehicles but also kept many. He worked at Try Way Manufacturing, a subcontractor for Boeing and retired early at age 43. He and Linda did a lot of traveling, they enjoyed dancing and taking walks and visiting with friends and family. When health conditions were on the horizon they decided to move to Garden Court as a couple. He passed away while living in Brookdale at Silver Lake on January 4, 2019 after a brief illness.
He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his beloved wife Linda and her two brothers and a sister and their families as well as a cousin Ilse living in Germany along with many close friends. There will be service February 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Funeral Home in Everett, Washington.
