Phyllis Wyckoff, 68, of Jacksonville, passed away early Monday morning at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Ms. Wyckoff was a graduate of Gadsden State with an Associate Degree in nursing. She practiced for 27 years in all of the area hospitals in Panama City, FL. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and going to church.
Ms. Wyckoff was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. She is survived by her sisters, Lana Pope of Anniston, Retha Breeden of Websters Chapel; chosen sister, Rose Douthit of Websters Chapel; sons, Larry Martin of Panama City, FL, Eric Martin of Birmingham; as well as her nieces, Luann Braddy of Oxford, Lynn Miller of Anniston, Kathy Green of Websters Chapel, and Ellen Wood of Alexandria.
Visitation will take place at Collier-Butler Funeral Home in Gadsden at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, January 26th, 2019, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden. The Reverend Donald Douthit will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made in her honor to Trinity/Whitehall United Methodist Church, c/o Janice McNew, 106 County Road 207, Collinsville, AL 35961.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff of SICU and the 9th floor of Gadsden Regional for providing excellent care during Phyllis’ end of life experience.
